MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum
The MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum 2023 was organised by the Taylor's University. It was held on 24th June 2023 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PGCF 2023 serves as a whole-day event which consists of Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP) sharing sessions, talk shows, and a networking session.
The program begin with registration of participants and booth set up of pharmacy companies. The opening ceremony is then continued with grand arrival of important guests (VIPs and VVIPs) and mainboards of the MyPSA PGCF 2023 organizing committee. Afterwards, the opening ceremony speeches were then given gracefully by Mr Ng Jun Wai, Project Director of PGCF 2023 and followed by Ms Ng Yi Ling, Malaysian Pharmacist Society - Young Pharmacist Chapter (MPS-YPC) Chairperson. The glorious opening ceremony was successfully officiated by respective MPS-YPC Chairperson.
Registration & Opening Ceremony
The career program started with the first agenda; PRP Sharing Session. For the first PRP sharing session, Ms. Joyce Toh Ker Ro was invited to deliver her sharing regarding Hospital Pharmacy PRP. The Sharing Session 2 inviting Mr Lai Jun Hua, a community pharmacist sharing respective PRP experience.
After short break, the PRP Sharing Session continued to Session 3 with Ms Siti Amirah Zulkifly, delivering talk regarding Manufacturing Pharmaceutical Industry. The last session topic circulating around PRP of Non-Manufacturing Pharmaceutical Industry by Mr Ong Yi Xian.
PRP Sharing Session
The afternoon session continued with Graduate Talk/Forum session. This session comprises of Discussions by 3 pharmacist panel and a moderator, followed by Open Q&A session. For Forum 1, Ms Jane Lee Jia Jing (Industry Pharmacist), Mr Ng Kar Weng (Clinical Pharmacist) and Ms Ng Yi Ling (Community Pharmacist) were invited to held discussions regarding Conventional Pharmacy Field topic.
Next, the session continued with Graduate Talk/Forum 2. Mr Lok Kok Hou (Research Pharmacist), Ms Lee Hooi Ying (Compounding Pharmacist) and Ms Oui Hui Che (Telemedicine Pharmacist) were invited to deliver forum regarding Niche Pharmacy Field.
Graduate Forum
At networking area, MPS-YPC and the pharmacy companies open up career booths and provide participants with networking opportunities for their future career prospects. The participating pharmacy companies were Big Pharmacy, Health Lane Pharmacy, Caring Pharmacy and RX Click Telepharmacy.
