MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum

The MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum (PGCF) 2026 was successfully held on 19th July 2026 (Sunday) as a full-day physical event. It featured Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP) sharing sessions, a panel discussion on niche pharmacy fields, and interactive networking booths. Guided by the theme “The Turning Point: From Exploration to Career Direction,” the forum highlighted the importance of career exploration, informed decision-making, and professional networking in shaping future pharmacy careers. It aimed to provide participants with valuable insights into PRP training, expose them to diverse and specialised career pathways, and create meaningful opportunities for networking with pharmacy professionals and peers.

ACTIVITIES:

The event began with the registration of participants, followed by the morning sharing sessions. The programme continued with lunch and networking booths, providing participants with opportunities to interact with fellow participants and explore different networking opportunities. Thereafter, the fourth sharing session was conducted, followed by the Pharmacy Career Forum featuring a panel discussion on niche pharmacy fields. The forum concluded with an interactive discussion that allowed participants to gain further insights into specialised career pathways and engage with the panellists.

PRP Sharing Session

The PRP Sharing Sessions focused on the Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP) journey and provided participants with insights into different pharmacy practice settings and career experiences. Ms. Jessica Teh Ying Ying, Ms. Choo Suit Won, Ms. Sharon Ding Wensze, and Dr. Amira Hajirah Abdul Jamil shared their experiences and perspectives on their respective PRP journeys. Each sharing session lasted for 30 minutes, allowing the speakers to highlight their experiences, challenges, and key considerations during the PRP training period. The sessions provided participants with a better understanding of the PRP pathway and practical insights to help them prepare for their future pharmacy careers.

Networking Booth

The networking session was held concurrently with the lunch break, providing participants with the opportunity to engage with representatives from various pharmacy organisations and explore different career pathways within the field. A total of 10 organisations participated in the networking booths, representing diverse sectors of the pharmacy profession. A networking scavenger hunt was also organised during the lunch break, encouraging participants to interact with the participating organisations and gain a more engaging and interactive networking experience.

Pharmacy Career Forum

The Pharmacy Career Forum (Core & Niche Pharmacy) was one of the afternoon highlights, featuring a panel discussion that explored both conventional and specialised career pathways within the pharmacy profession. The session covered one core sector, focusing on Clinical/Community Pharmacy, alongside two niche pharmacy sectors, allowing participants to gain a broader understanding of the diverse opportunities available within the field. Ms. See Wen Xin, Ms. Pamela Khian Bee Quah, and Ms. Tee Jia Xin shared their experiences and insights across the different sectors, highlighting the diverse career opportunities available to pharmacy graduates. The one-hour session comprised a panel discussion and open Q&A, providing participants with the opportunity to interact directly with the panellists, clarify their queries, and gain practical insights into different career directions.

Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony commenced with a speech delivered by the Project Director of the MyPSA Pharmacy Graduate Career Forum 2026, highlighting the key takeaways and significance of the forum. This was followed by a photography session with the speakers and participants to commemorate the successful completion of the event. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks and the distribution of a feedback form, allowing participants to share their experiences and provide valuable suggestions for future programmes.
