MyPSA National Pharmacy Research Competition

Workshop- Open Registration +

The 9th MyPSA National Pharmacy Research Competition (NPRC) 2026 is an annual MyPSA event involving pharmacy student societies across Malaysia. Organised by Cyberjaya University Pharmacy Students’ Society (CUPSS), this year’s event carries the theme “Bridging Research and Practice in Pharmacy”, highlighting the role of research and innovation in advancing pharmacy practice.

The event featured the Main Research Competition alongside two side activities under the Comprehensive Research Methodology Workshop (CRMW): Developing Research Manuscripts: An Interactive Writing Workshop and YouthPioneers Research Quest (YPRQ). The activities were conducted from April to May 2026, providing participants with opportunities to enhance their research competencies, presentation skills, and collaboration.

ACTIVITIES:

Comprehensive Research Methodology Workshop (CRMW): Developing Research Manuscripts: An Interactive Writing Workshop

The Comprehensive Research Methodology Workshop (CRMW) is designed to equip Year 1 to Year 4 pharmacy students with a strong foundation in research, preparing
them for their final year projects and beyond. Delivered in an online format to maximise accessibility, the workshop features a structured series of sessions covering key components such as research ethics, proposal writing, data collection methods, statistical analysis, scientific writing, referencing tools, and effective presentation techniques. YouthPioneers Research Quest (YPRQ)

The YouthPioneers Research Quest (YPRQ) is a follow-up initiative that allows pharmacy students to apply their research knowledge through a guided, project-based experience. Participants will work in teams with experienced lecturers or researchers as mentors to identify a relevant pharmacy practice topic, develop a research question, and conduct a small-scale study. Through regular consultations and online project management, participants will strengthen their research skills and present their findings during the final competition. Outstanding projects will receive recognition and may be further guided towards publication or external presentation.
