IPSF APRO Patient Counselling Event 2025

The Patient Counselling Event (PCE) is an event designed to encourage pharmacy students to apply their pharmaceutical expertise and communication skills to deliver optimal patient education. The event focuses on refining students’ competencies in patient counselling, an essential aspect of pharmacy practice. By offering a range of hands-on experiences, including knowledge-based assessments and interactive role-play sessions, PCE provides participants with the opportunity to practice and enhance their ability to communicate complex information effectively. In these scenarios, IPSF members will be challenged to not only demonstrate their clinical knowledge, but to also develop key skills in verbal and non-verbal communication, empathy, and patient-centred care. The event aims to foster greater confidence in pharmacy students, preparing them to engage with patients in real-world settings and ensure optimal healthcare outcomes.
