Refugee Outreach Program – Health Education

Refugee medical outreach programme is a collaborative event between SMMAMS, Malaysian Pharmacy Students’ Association (MyPSA) and Malaysian Dental Students’ Association (MDSA). Aimed at providing health advocacy and disease prevention to diverse communities. Forced displacement creates unique health needs, and addressing these needs requires a collective effort and an intersectoral approach. As medical students and health workers, it is important to contribute to the fulfillment of the right of refugees and forcibly displaced people, particularly their right to health and education. The outreach programme seeks to improve community knowledge, engage with most-at-risk groups and individuals, and build trust with the community while promoting access to information and awareness-raising. For 7th May 2023 mainly will be health education.
