MyPSA Qualifying Examination to Practice Pharmacy Workshop
Qualifying Examination to Pharmacy Practice Tutorial (QET) 2024 is hosted by MyPSA annually. Students from various universities and students from different years of studies or even graduated are also welcome to join for the examination preparation.
ACTIVITIES:
Participant’s registration started at 8.15 am. The tutorial started with a warm welcoming speech by the emcee and also the speakers’ introduction for each session. Sharply at 8.30 am, Cik Nurul Haizan Binti Sukan started her sharing session on the “Poisons Act 1952 & its Regulations”. The sharing session was followed by a Sample Question Session and a Question-and-Answer session (Q&A session) in order to familiarize the participants with the format and scope of the examination and to clear the doubts of participants.
After the session ended, participants were given 10 minutes for a break. The tutorial continued with the sharing on the topic of “Sale of Drugs Act 1952 & its Regulations” by Pn. Lee Li Fung. After the lunch break, the tutorial resumed with the last session for the first day on the topic of “Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and its Regulations” presented by Encik Shahrizal Saad followed by the sharing of sample questions and Q&A session. Group photos were taken by the Multimedia team after every session. The tutorial for the first day ended with a warm reminder by the emcee on the tentative Day-2 tutorial.
During day 2, participants started to register at 8.15 am and the tutorial started with the first sharing session on the topic of “Registration of Pharmacists Act 1951 & Its Regulations” by En. Zaidi bin Ahmad. After a 10 minutes short break, the tutorial was resumed with the second session “Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956 & its Regulations” presented by Cik Yap Fei Ting. After going through the lectures, Cik Yap Fei Ting shared the techniques of answering sample questions and cleared the questions posted in Zoom Q&A. Sharply at 1.30 pm, Pn. Nor Aqilah binti Hassim started the third session of day-2 on the topic of “Code of Ethics for Pharmacists 2018” followed by a sample question session and Q&A. The tutorials were taken over by Pn. Siti Nurul Fathihah binti Baharudin presented on the last topic of the day which was “Malaysian National Medicine Policy 2017-2021 (DUNAS) and Good Governance for Medicine (GGM)”. Pn. Siti Nurul Fathihah binti Baharudin was also able to share some sample questions for participants to practice and clear the doubts of participants. This tutorial ended officially at 4.00 pm.
